Blueberries are here!

This year, Mother Nature dealt us a devastating blow.

Starting around February 1st, we experienced an Arctic freeze that lasted nearly two weeks, with nighttime temperatures dropping into the teens. Unfortunately, when temperatures get that low, and the strong winds there is simply no way to protect blueberry buds. Those buds are what turn into the blueberries everyone comes to pick each season.

Because of this freeze, approximately 75-80% of our blueberry buds were killed.

Blueberries are the largest part of our yearly income, and with most of the crop gone, so is the income we rely on to keep our farm running. We do still have some fruit in the fields, but not enough to cover expenses. We have opened up a Go Fund Me page,  https://gofund.me/5dcf7c56f if anyone would like to help our farm.
